World’s Fastest Zipwire

Travelling at speeds of up to 100 miles per hour, head-first and 700ft above an old quarry, Velocity is the world’s fastest zipwire, and it has attracted over a million visitors since it opened in 2013. Decked out in an orange jumpsuit, goggles and helmet, riders can enjoy spectacular views below of what was once the world’s largest slate quarry at Penryhn.
Velocity is part of the Zip World adventure brand, which has a total of 11 adventure experiences across the beautiful area of Snowdonia in North Wales. Zip World has played an integral role in the local economy, bringing in an excess of £121 million pounds and creating around 450 jobs for local residents.
